For about 2 weeks (if that), this site hosted my 3D printing company "Stratoprint", now hosted at 3dmage.co.uk, I still however own this stratoprint.co.uk domain. 3D Mage is the exact same business as my previous Stratoprint site, with just the name altered.
This is a very funny story and perhaps the most coincidental thing to ever happen throughout my life so far (or perhaps I am just boring). I originally registered the domain, created the branding, and launched the site unaware that at around exactly the same dates, the owner of the currently operational stratoprint.com had also purchased the .com domain (whereas mine is .co.uk), had developed a website, registered the trademark, and most importantly offered very similar services to myself. We both had no idea of each other's existence until finding each other through search engines (for me at least, it was while I was testing the SEO of my site), to which we both contacted one another via email to resolve the situation.
Long story short, we had somehow both had the idea to start 3D printing service providing companies at around the same dates, both registering our sites/domains/social media accounts at around the same dates also without any knowledge of one another.
The resolution we concluded with was that since the owner of stratoprint.com had legally registered the trademark before me, he could "claim" ownership to the name, which I believe is fair. We were both quite ammused by it and were equally as shocked that such a coincidence occured.
